I explained further down the different strategies computer scientists in the 1960's considered to solve the high cost problem of mainframe usage. Timesharing was one of those solutions. Multics continued on the line that this video sets out and wanted to provide time sharing for more than hundred terminal users simultaneously, but was taken in speed by the developments in micro computing, which Bell Labs eventually embraced through the development of UNIX OS and C programming.
