WHAT again?
It turned out that I can not make as well use of my laptop's integrated graphics in Fedora, as I would in Ubuntu. This is not because of Fedora, nor of Ubuntu, but because the drivers of AMD for my graphics chip support Ubuntu but not Fedora. These AMD drivers officially support Windows 10, RHEL and Ubuntu. Of which WIndows 10 is buerk, RHEL is too stable = not cutting edge enough. I may would have to do without the newest fixes/updates. RHEL is meant for enterprises, not consumers. Out of the three, Ubuntu sticks out as my best option.
Why are graphics important to me? For game modding, which is one of the ways I plan to exercise my programming skills. Windows remains best for that, but older windows lack compatibility for modern software and using modern Windows is just too unethical for me.
I think the most determining factor always should be the hardware. We should use software that enables most components of our computer and runs them optimally. In the end software is simply a tool to enable and run computer hardware and to reaps the fruits of it's capabilities.
