1. Moving
I am porting over all little exercises I have written, since I started my C programming study a couple of weeks ago, to this dev blog, and I am not done yet doing this. Once I am ready with this I'll continue with following the best C training books I can get my hands on.

2. Final setup
Today I also have been researching on my final setup - I am still not fully sure in which and for which environment I want to develop C programs. C has especially been invented to be a portable language and it has been used across many different operating systems. These all have their own pluses and minuses. I want to have access to retro computing and development while also being able to use certain modern stuff that is essential to get by in the current age. On the other hand I want to have control over the hard- and software I use, and not compromise on independence in order to make my computer usage more comfortable. I'm looking into MS-DOS, FreeDos, MS Windows - older and newer, Linux distro's, and even Commodore Amiga derived OSes... Once I bite myself into any of the possible bones, I can not let go anymore for a long time, if not forever, so now is the time to settle down.
At least I am sure about the language. It has to be C. The language got firmly rooted into my guts. for several reasons:
- C is not fashionable
- C connects the past to the future
- C is the mother and King of all modern languages
- the creators of C where IT hippies
- C was born around the time I was born
- C places reliability before innovation
- C is a clean, lean and orderly language
- C can and is used both low- and high level
- C can and is used together with Assembly to drive hardware directly
- C was and is still highly relevant
- spoiled kids and lazy or superficially minded people who want to make an easy buck do not like C
- many programmers use C because they genuinely love using it
- I have nostalgic feelings towards the seventies
etc...

3. Typing method
I am bent on keeping my fingertips glued onto the right keyboard buttons, to get used to typing blind with ten fingers. I feel that this, in the long run, will be very advantageous in terms of work pace.
