This is the system that I am planning to emulate for my programming projects:

Amiga A4000T, released in 1994

Applications & games for Amiga in the early nineties were mainly developed with the following programming languages:
  • Assembly
  • C
  • Pascal
  • BlitzBASIC
My plan is to gradually learn all 4. Of these, al,l except Assembly, are platform independent and can be compiled on Windows and Linux too. C and Pascal are still very relevant today. Assembly is relevant too, but not for the 68000 cpu architecture. However, stepping from 68x to x86 and x64 should not be too great of a leap. Assembly is assembly. Only hardware parameters and how to approach the respective hardware will differ. The logic behind the machine programming remains the same.
